The
Empowered
Wellness Project
Wellness as an ecosystem
The Empowered Wellness Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit initiative born within New England Healing Arts. Created to support individuals after the hard stuff. Whether that be after burnout, sickness, survival, birth or rebirth. Anything that splinters one from the life they have previously know that they no longer want to return to. It is very difficult to keep moving forward when you are under-resourced, overextended, and without community.
We believe wellness extends far beyond self-care or single-focus healing. It includes the whole wellness wheel, physical, emotional, financial, social, environmental, intellectual, spiritual, and occupational wellbeing. Because healing in one area naturally ripples into another, we begin with what is available now: rest, nervous system regulation, and community connection. These are the roots from which other branches of empowerment grow.
Because New England Healing Arts already has space, tools, and gentle systems of care, TEWP begins here. Bridges between community members seeking care and practitioners ready to offer it in ways that keep both sides resourced.
Low-cost and pay-what-you-can sessions offered seasonally through participating practitioners.
Shared-care days that include child-friendly or family-integrated support.
Creative and seasonal gatherings focused on nervous system regulation, rest, and reconnection.
Practical support for healers through scholarships, stipends, and mentorships that help sustain their work.
We start small and deep, knowing that meaningful change happens when one layer of life stabilizes at a time.
We know that improvement in one area creates ripples into others. When rest is supported, focus returns. When the body is safe, the mind follows. When connection is rebuilt, hope grows roots.
Where we begin
As our foundation grows, we envision TEWP expanding through collaboration. Welcoming facilitators, teachers, and community partners who bring practical and creative skills into the ecosystem. Future branches may include:
Job readiness and life-skills workshops
Gardening and sustainable living education
Financial literacy and resource navigation
Creative expression and art-based healing
Peer-led mentorship and mutual-aid programs
We know that as one area of life improves, others follow. Our goal is to create a self-sustaining network of care where people can continue to move forward in community.
Looking Ahead
A Final Word
If you have a skill, service, or idea that belongs in this ecosystem, please reach out.
If you represent a community or organization that could use support, we’d love to hear from you.
Together, we can continue building the bridge where access meets sustainability, and everyone has the opportunity to rise beyond survival.
